I’m Melissa, author and creator of Your Easy Vegan Life.
As you have probably guessed, I am also vegan. It took me a year of research and reading before I transitioned to a vegan lifestyle. During that time, I came across a lot of helpful resources but also a lot of confusing information. I asked myself all sorts of questions and it wasn’t always easy to find clear, simple answers.
When I made the switch in early 2014, I started seeing a lot of benefits from my new lifestyle: I saved money on groceries (especially with rising meat prices), I lost a little bit of weight (a lost also explained by a return to regular physical exercise), my energy throughout the day was more consistent, but most importantly, I was now living a life aligned with my values. The change was not without its challenges, but in my mind, so worth it that I decided to start this blog to help people who want to take the same journey. The blog is also a way for me to answer basic questions about veganism, questions that I get asked regularly and that tell me that being vegan is still something that is not well understood in our society. No question is too basic or too simple to be adressed in this blog, or in the Your Easy Vegan Life Facebook community of like-minded individuals.
I live in the beautiful city of Montreal, in the province of Quebec, Canada. And yes, I do speak French!
